Blood Moon
Oil on stretched canvas
18 x 24 inches
Have you ever seen a blood moon?
This piece was inspired by a blood moon that I was lucky enough to see recently whilst on holiday. I immediately wanted to get home and paint it! I created the waterfall scene so that the glow of the moon could be seen reflecting across the water. The moon was created using layers of black and white oil paint on scrunched paper followed by layers of alizarin crimson across the sky.
